Faith’s Way Fitness is in loving memory of my mother, Faith Wolf.
A little about me: I started my fitness journey in 2006, and have never looked back! I’ve struggled my entire life with my health, since childhood, we call it the “Wolf” gene in my family. You name the ‘diet’ or ‘cleanse’ or ‘quick commercialized fix” … I’ve tried it! I even used to do diets with my mother as a teenager. What have I learned? “Quick fixes” and “cookie cutter” plans are not effective for long term but in fact, damaging to our bodies and metabolism. Yes, we want results and change but your body is the only place we have to live in, treasure it and treat it like gold.
My journey has taken many turns but each turn was a lesson. The two most important things I’ve learned this past year: time and patience.
In April 2013, I decided to take my fitness to the next level. I learned a lot on my own and with other trainers since 2006 and I managed to keep off 45 lbs but I always wanted to “lean out” and tone. Endless cardio and various nutrition plans without enough calories were ALL the wrong things to do which I learned later on, clearly. So, I used social-media and found my trainer online and haven’t looked back!
I competed in my first NPC Bikini Body Building Competition on 11/16/2013 in the best shape of my life; fit at 30! I was ready after 8 months of training – shedding approximately 10-12% body fat and adding lean muscle with heavy weight training gave me curves and definition. Don’t be afraid of weight training :)
The human brain is the most powerful muscle; realize that you have the power to improve your health and lifestyle regardless of your “starting” point and you will succeed. We all have a ‘starting’ point even myself.
My mother’s struggle with her obesity is the drive behind my passion for helping others change their lives. I’ve witnessed this chronic disease take the life of someone who gave me life. If you ask me why I stay dedicated and committed to a healthy lifestyle over the last seven years I will simply answer “my mother.”
Over the past year I've been asked, what's my niche? At first I honestly had no clue. In reality, my niche or 'speciality' is strength training but overall it's working with the every day person, primarily women because I am a woman. I aspire to help people live healthier, lose weight an gain confidence. I may have competed in the fitness industry for a short period but it's not the community I work with dialy.
Everyone’s goal is different…everyone’s ‘way’ will vary and Faith’s Way will guide you on YOUR journey. Have patience, trust and enjoy the process!
